We place so much value on our intellect and achievements, we get caught in the cycle of busyness and overwhelm, that we forget that our bodies are so much more than a vehicle. Your body is the home for your soul. It is the place where you can retreat when the world gets hard. Your body allows you to move and breathe and feel joy and pleasure. It protects you and warns you of danger. Your body is your source of intuition and can help you make decisions. Your body is home.

Hi, I’m Grace - welcome.
I’m a qualified Physiotherapist and Embodiment coach with over 13 years experience supporting women to find a deeper connection with their body so they can heal from chronic issues and burnout.
This healing journey is also one I’ve taken myself. A few years ago after birthing my second baby and starting back at work I found myself completely overwhelmed and burnt out. I was juggling work and parenting and experiencing chronic tension through my neck and shoulders, headaches and generally feeling exhausted all the time. I recognised how stress and negative self beliefs were playing out in my physical body, and I also recognised these same patterns in my clients. I saw how disconnected some of them were from the physical sensations and internal felt senses of their own bodies.
Through my own healing journey I learnt to listen to, and work with my body to reduce stress, increase my capacity for joy and reduce the physical tension in my body. By learning to listen to and work with our internal sensations we are able to access more of our intuition and use this to navigate our lives, and to create an aligned life. I continue to experienced first hand the positive effects this practice has on my own body and my sense of self - I feel empowered, aligned and I have a deep trust in my body. I now use this approach with my clients, to not only treat the physical body, but to work with the emotional, energetic, mental and spiritual bodies to make people feel safe, nurtured and whole as they experience deep healing and more ease, flow and joy in their days.

FAQ?
What is an Embodiment Coaching session like?
Embodiment coaching is a body-led somatic style coaching practice. That means that we allow your analytical/ thinking mind to take a rest and we use the sensations of your body to navigate your current situation. Most sessions start with us setting a goal or intention to work on for the session. We then explore and build awareness of how this current situation feels internally. We then use embodiment practices such as body-led movement, sound and breathing to process any stored emotions and find clarity around your current goal/ issue.
Is there a payment plan option?
Yes a payment plan is available. This would be 6 fortnightly payments of $444. Please get in touch to discuss further.
I am unsure if Embodiment Coaching is for me, can I do a one off session to test it out?
I do offer one off sessions for anyone wanting to get a feel of what the sessions are like. From experience though, there is only so deep you can go in a single session and often it can take 1-2 sessions to understand and fully trust the process and be able to drop into your body, therefore a single session is far less effective than a container. But please do reach out if you would like to book in a one off session. These are $189 for a 60 minute session.
How much time will I need to invest to get the most from this program?
The coaching sessions are 90minutes for the initial session and 60minutes each for the following sessions. Outside of theses sessions it is completely up to you how much time you want to invest and this can be tailored to fit in with your current needs and capacity. I will offer moving meditations and self reflection exercises which can take as long as 30mins/ day or as little as 10minutes a few times/ week. During your initial coaching session we can discuss how I can best support you, how much or how little time you would like to spend on this and I can tailor the resources to suit your needs.
Keep in mind that in order to get the most out of the coaching sessions they should to be done in a quiet, private place (i.e. not at work on your lunch break or with your kids around where possible), this allows you to go deeper into your body and be okay being vulnerable and expressing any emotions that may arise during a session.
I have complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, or a significant trauma history. Is this program appropriate for me?
Coaching does not replace standard therapy (psychology, counselling, psychotherapy etc) and is not designed to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. That said, having a significant trauma history or diagnosed mental health condition does not exclude you from this practice. Embodiment Coaching is a trauma-aware modality, meaning that I will continually monitor your safety and wellbeing and anchor you into the safety of your body and surroundings. It is about building awareness and expressing what your body is holding in this moment, rather than revisiting events from the past. Please reach out to discuss if this is appropriate for you.
